Company PRONING DHI d.o.o. is a private consulting company (SME) with offices in Zagreb and Split and with core business consultancy in water management.

For the past 30 years, we have developed absolutely the largest and most complex projects in the Republic of Croatia and the region in the field of water resource management, all based on the most modern methodological approaches and "state of the art" engineering tools. We actively implement "capacity building" and "knowledge transfer" activities for our partners and clients.

We cooperate with numerous international institutions and scientific institutes. We are a representative and project partner of the Danish Hydraulic Institute since 1990, we participate in international projects with scientific institutes from all over Europe (eg RECONECT - Horizon 2020) and the world from the Netherlands (IHE) through Singapore to China. We work on projects funded by the WB, UNDP, EIB, HV, EU Structural Funds, Local Funds in HR and BiH. We provide consultancy services for projects of various detail levels, from conceptual solutions, preliminary designs, main designs and finished condition projects. We prepare feasibility studies, tenders for public procurement and project assignments (TOR) for projects co-financed by world agencies (e.g. for Kosovo, Serbia).

The most important projects we have created:

Master plans of municipal sewerage systems, for cities of Ljubljana (Slo), Zagreb, Osijek, Čakovec, Karlovac, Zaprešić, Samobor and many others using the most modern methodological and SW solutions, then first used in domestic practice;

We designed the Kaštela drainage system as part of the Eco-Kaštela Bay project;

We developed a Real-time flood forecasting system for the Sava River in Croatia from borther with Slovenia till border with Serbia, and the Bosnian rivers Una, Sana, Vrbas;

We have developed a number of design solutions and hydrological-hydraulic models of rivers as part of the international project "FRISCO 1" between Slovenia and Croatia;

We have prepared a Feasibility Study for the Neretva River to reduce the impact of salinization, to be financed by EU structural funds.

We are developing the Poreč project for the establishment of an IT modelling system for monitoring the operation and results of treatment of future WWTPs through the monitoring and modelling of the sewerage system, wwtp and sea water status.

We have developed several key projects of importance for the entire Republic of Croatia, the implementation of which will be financed by EU funds, primarily the "Project of non-structural measures for flood risk management - VEPAR";

We run the project Feasibility Study for the City of Zagreb - Project Zagreb 2018.

We are developing a number of agglomeration projects for financing from EU funds - from Zagreb, Čakovec, Zaprešić, Samobor, Sinj, Trilj, Pazin, Korčula, Lumbarda,…

We participate with 35 EU and world institutes, faculties and consultancy companies in the HORIZON 2020 "RECONECT" project for the implementation of NBS (Natural based systems) measures to reduce the risk of floods by applying measures based on, nature-consistent principles and interventions;

We participated in the preparation for the new HORIZON 2020 project to protect EU coastal cities from flooding;

We were invited by the EU Commission and the JRC to the project of monitoring the CoV-2 virus in wastewater and included the city of Zagreb in this pan-European project; We are working on the inclusion of other cities in the Republic of Croatia in this project (Split, others).

A representative of the Company, as the founder and member of the management board, participates in the work of the newly established Croatian Fuel Cells Association (hydrogen).

In the vast majority of projects we have developed, we have had quality and valuable domestic and foreign partners and associates without whom the projects we performed would be unfeasible.
